The Week in Review

It's still early in the morning, For some unknown reason, I always wake up early on Fridays. I wish can I sleep in but, to no avail, here I am browsing the internet with a cup of coffee beside me. Thought I'd write an entry instead of spending more money online.

It has been a crazy week for us. Monday, Rick got a call from his mom with some bad news, his Aunt Mildred was found unconscious in her apartment. They thought she had a heart attack. But later this week we found out that she's fine and back at home. Tuesday, was terrible! A building not too far from where I work had an explosion! It happened around 8:30 in the morning. I was trying to fix our internet connection when it happened. Thought somebody hit our building! I didn't really pay attention on what was going on, until I saw people from next door, rushing outside and looking up. Decided to check it out myself. There was this big cloud of black smoke and one of the guys started yelling to get out of there because there are propane tanks close to where the fire was. So, with my coffee mug on one hand and my purse on the other, I ran out of the building. Took off with Rick. We went home and there were ashes from the blast on our driveway! And we live a couple miles away!

Although, I think it was a little bit too much to close the roads and evacuate houses within half a mile radius. But they did and the entire area was blocked for more than 10 hours! We couldn't go back to work! So pretty much our day was wasted. We didn't know what to do with ourselves, coz we were suppose to be working! Isn't that ironic! We couldn't go to the store because the one store we have in our "big" city was evacuated as well! Business must have sucked that day.

The rest of the week was like a history class. People coming in and out of the office reminiscing the memory of the blast. I'm getting tired of it. But i bet there will be more stories come Monday. Oh well, as long as i get paid to listen to it.

Life is so unpredictable! Be prepared.
